Arden Parallel Force Main

This project involved the installation of a 60″ diameter force main pipeline along the American River from the Arden Pumping Station to a point near the Fairbairn Water Treatment Plant. The project included approximately 10,400 feet
of 60″ diameter steel pipe, two connection vault structures, one jacking and two receiving shafts, four hot-taps of the existing 60″ force main and 36″ bypass piping at two locations, four access manways, two air release/vacuum valve
vaults, two open cut crossings of the American River Levee, and two 60″ tunneled crossings of the American River. Also included was a surge protection system comprised of 4 large tanks and a control building. This project included
protection requirements for shrubs and trees in the Parkway and relocation of the golf course irrigation system. This was a fast-track project
