Our Company is looking for a full-time entry-level civil engineer/construction manager to join our team. This key person plans, coordinates, and assists with a broad range of administrative and operational tasks that allow the company to operate efficiently and profitably.

Summary of Position: Supports construction and home office activities by performing or assisting for a portion of the following:

  • Becoming thoroughly knowledgeable with a project’s contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work;
  • Assist with project start up, document control, receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents, (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims), and maintaining document control logs;
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement of construction material, subcontract management and coordination of subcontractors, quality control assurance
  • Identifying workplace safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize them assisting in achieving Mitchell’s zero incident culture;
  • Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination; including support of field superintendents with daily material and equipment needs; managing construction equipment and pictures as needed for progress reports;
  • Maintain daily production quantities for cost analysis;
  • Assist with home office estimating in pursuit of projects and performing additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:

Educational and experience requirements include 4-year civil engineering degree or construction management. Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
