Jefferson Street Improvements Phase 2

San Francisco, California

The Jefferson Street Project was along one of the most popular tourist areas in the United States, running along Jefferson Street from Jones Street to Powell Street at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.

During the project, Mitchell managed to place over 44,000 square feet of concrete pavement, most of which had integral color and geometric patterns. Mitchell also installed 2,900 linear feet of underground conduit, 7,360 square feet of granite pavers, reconstructed the San Francisco Municipal Railway topping slab, and upgraded sewer and water lines, including San Francisco’s Auxiliary Water Supply System. Additionally, Mitchell undertook sidewalk repair and widening, electrical and traffic signal work, and other streetscape improvements such as benches, palm trees, lighting for enhanced safety, and bicycle parking racks. All of this was accomplished without disrupting tourists or businesses.
