Geary Rapid East of Van Ness

This project was located along a heavily traveled commuter area of Geary Street from Van Ness Avenue to Kearny Street, and at various locations along O’Farrell Street from Larkin Street to Grant Avenue in San Francisco.

The work included renovating the roadway and curb ramps and replacing or constructing 6-inch to 8-inch diameter VCP (vitrified clay pipe) side sewers, as well as 10-inch diameter VCP culverts. Additionally, approximately 6,100 linear feet of Ductile Iron Pipe ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches in diameter were installed for watermain upgrades, along with approximately 1,680 linear feet of 1-inch to 2-inch copper tubing service pipe. The scope of work for this contract also encompassed traffic signal, electrical and structural work, environmental work, and traffic control.
